Died: alive in 1794 but d. before 20 Feb 1839; his wife was stated to be a widow by this date

Marriage: to Ann Sprags c1769 (based on 21 as the age when first son's baptism occurred). Ann, widow of John Spraggs, d. 20 Feb 1839 at Walsoken from natural decay at age of 88.  The informant was Mary Ceais, laborer's wife, of Elm who was present at the death. Jonathan was a bachelor, Elizabeth was a widow at the time of their marriage.[1] Elizabeth was b.c1741.

(2) Esther, daughter of John and Ann Sragge, buried 5 Oct 1794 at Swaffham, age 2[3]

No Spraggs were found in the Swaffham and surrounding towns circuit of the Wesleyan Methodist chapel births and baptisms 1815-1837

Born: --c1781 (based on 21 as age at time of marriage and age given as 60 in 1841 and 73 in 1851) at Beeston, Norfolk  Died: ------  Elizabeth was b. ---c.1776 at Swaffham.  Her age was 65 in 1841 and 76 in 1851. 

Died: -----.  They lived on Theater Lane in Swaffham in 1841 and Wards Cottages, WHT (?) 26 Lane in 1851.  Neither of them was listed in the 1861 census. 

Marriage: by banns 5 Jan 1802 in Beetson Parish, Norfolk, he single, she widow, maiden name Hall.  Both from Beeston.  He signed with his mark.

The Beeston census of 1841 showed Jonathan to be 60, ag. lab, b. in Norfolk; Elizabeth 65, b. in Norfolk.  The Swaffham census 1851 said he was 73, ag lab, b. in Beeston; she 76, b. in Swaffham
